The Car Park for the Car Park Where Richard III's Remains were found
King Richard III 's remains were discovered under this car park on the site of the Greyfriars Friary in September 2012. A team from the University of Leicester led the excavation which was initiated by Edinburgh based writer Philippa Langley. The King's remains were reburied in March 2015 in a tomb inside Leicester Cathedral. The Cathedral is situated just 30 metres from the spot where his remains were discovered.
