Situated on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth it has a population of nearly half a million. Its' links to the British Monarchy are strong and are shown by the Queen's residency at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the start of every summer. Built on several hills, the Cityscape is dominated by Edinburgh Castle.
