The London New Year Parade celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2011.  Marching bands from US High Schools formed the mainstay of the entertainment as well as local societies and organisations.

Be they London Christmas lights, vintage light fittings in a Paris street, the Barranjoey Lighthouse at Palm Beach in Australia or splashes of light glinting off the mirrored and still surface of the River Thames by Kew Bridge in London.
