Historical Plaque Commemorating Richard III
King Richard III reputedly rode across this bridge on the way to the Battle of Bosworth. His naked body was returned over this same bridge tied to a horse and eventually taken by Franciscan Friars and secretly buried in the Greyfriars Friary in Leicester.
