The colour is trooped between the ranks of the parade by 142 Sqn who now form The Escort to the Colour
The Colour was trooped in old days so that all troops could see their regimental colour and know where to rally beside it in the smoke and chaos of battle. The Colour represents the spirit of the regiment past, present and future and is highly symbolic - and treated with great respect - even The Queen will salute a Colour on parade.
